Outdoor Furniture Completes a Garden Space for Libby’s Long-Term Care Residents

  • Local Champion: A Libby local
  • Date Funded: May 18, 2026
  • Grant Amount: $1,600

The Libby Care Center lacked a comfortable outdoor space until one dedicated volunteer spent four years transforming a neglected garden into a peaceful retreat for the more than 70 residents receiving rehabilitation and nursing care. But without adequate seating, residents and their families had nowhere to sit and enjoy the space. So, the volunteer came up with a solution. LOR’s funding helped the volunteer purchase outdoor furniture including sofas, chairs, and benches to complete the garden space. The seating will allow residents to enjoy fresh air, sunshine, and time with family in a renewing space.

This project is fiscally sponsored by Libby Area Community Advancement.
