New Ski Hi Screen Expands Event Access for Monte Vista Residents

\For many Monte Vista residents who attend events at the Ski Hi Complex—including seniors, individuals with disabilities or mobility limitations, and families with young children—navigating bleachers, uneven terrain, and crowded spaces can create barriers to full participation. Recognizing this growing accessibility gap, the City of Monte Vista and the Ski Hi Complex Director reached out to LOR with an idea: purchase and install a large LED video screen that would allow attendees to comfortably view performances, announcements, and activities from accessible locations throughout the facility. LOR’s funding will help the Ski Hi Complex purchase and install the screen, which will serve as a year-round community asset. It will support rodeos, fairs, festivals, youth sporting events, family movie nights, educational presentations, and civic gatherings—creating more opportunities for residents of all ages to participate, connect, and enjoy events at the facility.
