New Kitchen Equipment Revitalizes Lander VFW Community Space

  • Local Champion: Lander local
  • Date Funded: January 10, 2025

The Lander VFW has become an important—and affordable—community gathering space for everything from baby showers to graduation parties, often booking up as much as a month out. Many folks using the space make use of the kitchen, but the aging equipment is hazardous because it’s old, rusting, or not sanitary. After noticing these safety concerns, one community volunteer had an idea to modernize the space. LOR’s funding helped the VFW purchase and install new kitchen equipment—including a double wall oven, cooktop, and glass-door refrigerator-freezer—ensuring Lander residents can safely prepare food for every kind of celebration in this vital community space.

This project is fiscally sponsored by the Lander VFW Post 954 & Auxiliary.
