Mold Testing Kits Help Libby Residents Assess Flood Damage

Recent flooding in Libby brought floodwaters into contact with several homes, creating conditions ideal for mold growth that can pose serious health risks to residents. The problem is many affected homeowners don’t know if mold is present in their homes or how to detect it before it becomes a larger health and safety problem. Lincoln County staff wanted to help residents quickly identify mold and take action before it spreads, so they reached out to LOR with a solution. LOR’s funding will help Lincoln County purchase mold testing kits to distribute to flood-affected homeowners, allowing for prompt remediation that reduces health risks and ensures homes remain safe and habitable.
