Medical Equipment Aids Libby Students and Staff

  • Local Champion: Libby K-12 Schools
  • Date Funded: September 30, 2024
  • Grant Amount: $9,740

At Libby Middle High School, injuries can happen at any time – during gym class, sports practice, or other school activities. While the school recently partnered with Cabinet Peaks Medical Center to bring in a medical trainer, the new staffer lacked the basic equipment they needed to treat injured students and staff. When the school couldn’t secure funding for new supplies, staff reached out to LOR for support. LOR’s funding will help Libby Middle High School purchase essential medical supplies and equipment like defibrillators and wall mounted exercise stations for the trainer’s room, ensuring students and staff can receive immediate care when injuries occur during school hours or extracurricular events.
