Landscaping Creates a Community Space in Libby

  • Local Champion: Community Action Partnership of Northwest Montana
  • Date Funded: March 19, 2025
  • Grant Amount: $30,000

A new 24-unit subsidized housing development in Libby will soon provide much-needed affordable homes for local residents, but the property lacks the outdoor features that would make the development a true community. Staff with Community Action Partnership of Northwest Montana, which is creating the development, saw the housing plan lacked functional outdoor space, so they reached out to LOR with an idea. LOR’s funding will help the nonprofit hire landscape professionals to design and install outdoor gathering spaces, play areas, and green spaces around the complex, giving residents a safe place for children to play and adults to gather.
