Lander Nonprofits Gain an Accessible, Free Meeting Space

  • Local Champion: Wyoming Outdoor Council
  • Date Funded: August 2, 2023
  • Grant Amount: $29,995

While the nonprofit community in Lander, Wyoming is robust, the community lacks a central, free meeting space where organizations and clubs can meet conveniently. Some people try to use the library, which has limited hours, and others have used coffee shops and other business locations. To address this problem, a representative from the Wyoming Outdoor Council approached LOR about funding for a new project that would create a free meeting space equipped with wifi. As the Wyoming Outdoor Council prepares the space in their building on 2nd street, LOR is helping them outfit the space with funding for tables, chairs, and other furniture.
