Lander Community Gains Access to Free Composting Classes

  • Local Champion: Pushroot Community Garden
  • Date Funded: October 21, 2024
  • Grant Amount: $3,000

Lander residents have often expressed an interest in learning more about composting, but have lacked access to efficient, user-friendly education. Staff at Pushroot Community Garden spotted an opportunity to address this by using some of their garden area as a teaching garden with free bimonthly workshops taught by an experienced composter. Up to 15 people will be able to participate in each workshop. LOR’s funding will help cover the costs of composting tools and supplies and instructor fees.

This project is fiscally sponsored by the Lander Community Foundation
