Concrete Pads Give Weiser Dog Park Visitors a Clean, Safe Place to Sit

  • Local Champion: Weiser River Animal Shelter & Rescue
  • Date Funded: August 5, 2026
  • Grant Amount: $1,800

Weiser’s dog park has grown in popularity since its founding with LOR’s support, but the park’s handcrafted benches—built by Weiser High School’s wood shop class—lack concrete pads to secure them in place. One of the park’s founding members wanted to give visitors a clean, safe place to sit, so she reached out to LOR with an idea. LOR’s funding will help Weiser River Animal Shelter and Rescue hire a contractor to pour two concrete slabs. The concrete pads will anchor the benches firmly, keep the seating areas clean, and ensure the park can be maintained with ease.
