Inflatable Fire Education House Supports Life-saving Learning in Questa

  • Local Champion: Village Of Questa
  • Date Funded: December 17, 2024
  • Grant Amount: $10,783

Following a house fire that claimed the lives of two Questa community members, the fire department identified a need to increase local awareness of fire safety practices and evacuation planning to avoid future tragedies. So they contacted a Village employee who helped them reach out to LOR with a solution: purchase an inflatable fire education house to provide impactful, engaging fire safety training for children and adults at community events.

LOR’s funding will enable the fire department to purchase the inflatable safety house and a smoke machine, helping to provide interactive and potentially life-saving learning experiences for Questa residents.
