Housing Survey Offers Insight and Informs Action in Questa

  • Local Champion: Questa Economic Development Fund
  • Date Funded: June 26, 2024
  • Grant Amount: $9,500

Questa’s affordable housing crisis has become increasingly urgent in the years since the onset of the coronavirus pandemic. To address the unique challenges associated with local housing, the Village recently established a Housing Steering Committee. The formation of this Committee represented an important step for the community, but its members felt overwhelmed by the scale of the problem and unsure of where to focus their efforts. So, they approached LOR with an idea: capitalize on attendance at local summer events to conduct a survey that provides insights into Questa residents’ self-identified housing needs.

LOR’s funding will cover the costs of conducting the community-wide survey and outsourcing the analysis of its findings. The results of this professional analysis will help guide the Committee’s future actions, ensure alignment with community priorities, and hopefully contribute to sustainable housing solutions in Questa and beyond.
