Housing Series Supports Community Knowledge and Youth Involvement in Questa

  • Local Champion: Taos Housing Partnership
  • Date Funded: May 5, 2026
  • Grant Amount: $16,200

Questa residents have expressed growing interest in housing-related topics but lack accessible, locally relevant opportunities to learn about affordability, development, and financing options. This gap has limited the community’s understanding of and engagement with ongoing housing initiatives. In response, community leaders reached out to LOR with a proposal to host a four-part speaker series featuring housing experts who will cover affordability, development opportunities, loan availability, and tax credit information. LOR’s funding will support the Taos Housing Partnership and local partners in delivering these workshops at trusted venues in Questa, while also engaging youth from the True Kids 1 program to record and produce accompanying video content. This project will expand community knowledge while building youth leadership and media skills. It will also create lasting educational resources that extend beyond the in-person sessions, ensuring continued access for residents who are unable to attend.
