Home Maintenance Tools Help Spawn a Community Program in Libby

  • Local Champion: Libby Church of God
  • Date Funded: May 28, 2025
  • Grant Amount: $5,100

Many Libby residents struggle to maintain their homes due to physical limitations or lack of skills, while others in the community need temporary financial assistance. When one local pastor saw an opportunity to address both challenges simultaneously, he reached out to LOR with his idea. LOR’s funding will help Libby Assembly of God purchase a utility trailer and maintenance equipment including lawn tools, shovels, rakes, and painting supplies. The equipment will support a volunteer program where community members can earn stipends by helping neighbors with tasks like mowing, raking, snow removal, and painting, creating a system where residents can help each other while addressing their own financial needs.
