Free On-Site Equipment Enhances Taos Community Event Venue

  • Local Champion: Taos Center for Arts
  • Date Funded: December 18, 2024
  • Grant Amount: $4,865

Affordable event venues in Taos are incredibly scarce. In fact, Taos Center for the Arts (TCA) is one of the only venues that offers its space at a discounted rate to local nonprofits, clubs, and other community groups looking to host events. However, the center lacked some of the basic event supplies and furnishings that could help community groups keep event costs low. So, a TCA employee reached out to LOR with a solution: purchase frequently requested event essentials, which will be available to groups renting out the space at no additional cost.

LOR’s funding will cover the cost of purchasing table linens, additional tables and chairs, a hand truck, coolers, a water dispenser and an ice machine, a portable projector, and various power strips and extension cords for use during community events.
