Family Nights Build Community for Cortez Preschool Parents

  • Local Champion: Trinity Lutheran Preschool Inc.
  • Date Funded: July 24, 2025
  • Grant Amount: $2,500

Many Cortez preschool parents are new to the school experience and lack opportunities to connect with other families before their children enter public school. One staff member with Trinity Lutheran Preschool knew how important early connections were for building lifelong school engagement, so she reached out to LOR with an idea. LOR’s funding will help Trinity Lutheran Preschool purchase supplies for monthly family nights featuring hands-on activities like pumpkin bowling, science experiments, and cookbook creation. The program will also provide matching t-shirts for students and staff to wear, creating a sense of unity while encouraging families to develop the habit of active school participation.
