Event Equipment Enhances Community Gatherings in Monte Vista

  • Local Champion: A Monte Vista Local
  • Date Funded: June 16, 2026
  • Grant Amount: $7,459

The Monte Vista Chamber of Commerce hosts several free community events each year that strengthen community connections and support the local economy. As these events have grown, the organization has lacked the appropriate equipment to maintain high-quality programming. After recognizing that strain on existing event materials was limiting the professional appearance and functionality of vendor spaces, a Chamber board member identified an opportunity to upgrade the drapery and side panels. LOR’s funding helped purchase polyester backdrop drapes, side panels, and a banner for vendor booth spaces at major events, including the Agricultural Conference, Holiday Bazaar, and Crane Festival. The new equipment will create a more welcoming and professional environment for vendors and attendees, support continued tourism and economic activity, and have an expected lifespan of 15–20 years.

This project is fiscally sponsored by Optimystics Citizens Action Network.
