Equipment Upgrades Make Weiser City Pool Safer and More Accessible

  • Local Champion: City of Weiser
  • Date Funded: December 3, 2024
  • Grant Amount: $12,270

Weiser’s public pool serves as a vital community hub during hot summer days, but aging infrastructure and a lack of ADA accessibility prevent some residents from safely enjoying the spot. Among the issues plaguing Weiser City Pool are rusted doors and inoperative shower water heaters, which cause residents to skip the showers and spread germs and waterborne illnesses. Pool staff wanted to make the space safe and accessible for community members, so they reached out to LOR with an idea. LOR’s funding will help the City of Weiser install new steel entry doors, replace the shower water heaters, and add ADA-accessible stairs, ensuring all Weiser residents can safely enjoy their community pool.
