D&D Supplies Grow Access to a Free Monte Vista Game Night

  • Local Champion: A Monte Vista local
  • Date Funded: March 31, 2025
  • Grant Amount: $2,186

For the last two years, one Monte Vista resident has been hosting a free weekly Dungeons & Dragons game at Carnegie Public Library. Participation has been growing, but that has left the game night without sufficient supplies and equipment to accommodate new players. Hoping to grow the community event even further, the game’s leader came up with a solution to accommodate new players. LOR’s funding helped purchase gaming books, miniature figurines, digital maps, light snacks and drinks, and art supplies for the game nights, ensuring more community members can participate in creative storytelling, problem-solving, and meaningful social connection.

This project is fiscally sponsored by Optimystics Citizens Action Network.
