Lighting and Electrical Upgrades Extend and Expand a Buffalo Community Resource

Buffalo’s Washington Memorial Park pavilion is a gathering space for birthday parties, family reunions, and community events from spring to fall. But the facility has no power or lights, limiting its use during evening hours. Two city of Buffalo employees recognized this gap, so they reached out to LOR with a solution: install lighting and electrical service at the pavilion. LOR’s funding will help the city of Buffalo purchase lights and hire a local electrician to complete the installation. The improvements will allow residents to extend gatherings, accommodate a broader range of activities, and make the pavilion a more functional community resource for Buffalo residents.
