Commercial Spray Equipment Restores Weiser’s Parks and Public Spaces

  • Local Champion: City of Weiser
  • Date Funded: September 8, 2026
  • Grant Amount: $8,500

Weiser residents can’t fully enjoy city parks, trails, and community events when mosquitoes, nuisance insects, and invasive weeds make outdoor spaces uncomfortable, a problem city staff have been powerless to combat without the necessary equipment. After hearing repeated complaints from residents at a city park event, one city employee reached out to LOR with an idea: a commercial sprayer. LOR’s funding will help the city of Weiser purchase a spray trailer, applications tools, and proper protective equipment, giving staff the capacity to treat sports fields, parks, trails, pathways, and fishing ponds consistently and efficiently.
