Bee Education Program Strengthens Pollinator Awareness and Conservation in Questa

  • Local Champion: Questa Bee's
  • Date Funded: October 22, 2025
  • Grant Amount: $4,924

Without healthy bee populations, Questa risks losing the pollination needed to sustain crops, fruit trees, and native plants—threatening local food security and long-held cultural traditions tied to farming and land stewardship.

When local beekeepers recognized an opportunity to educate the community about pollinators’ vital role in agriculture and the environment, they developed an idea to create hands-on learning experiences for residents of all ages.

With LOR’s support, Questa Bees purchased educational materials—including observation hives, bee suits, and apiary equipment—to establish demonstration sites and host workshops at schools, farmers’ markets, and community events.

Through these educational programs, Questa residents will gain a deeper understanding of how pollinators sustain local agriculture and ecosystems, inspiring conservation efforts that strengthen food security and connection to local lands.

This project is fiscally sponsored by Localogy.
