Art Transforms Dumpsters into Questa Community Assets

  • Local Champion: Questa Creative Council
  • Date Funded: April 14, 2025
  • Grant Amount: $5,000

Dumpsters scattered throughout Questa detract from the town’s appearance, creating an eyesore for both residents and visitors. After staff with the Questa Economic Development Fund and Questa Creative Council identified this problem, they reached out to LOR with a creative solution. LOR’s funding will help the Questa Creative Council hire a local artist to work with high school students to paint landscape murals on the town’s dumpsters. The collaborative art project will not only beautify Questa’s downtown area but also provide local youth with an opportunity to develop their artistic skills and make a visible contribution to their community.
