A Visitor Screening System Strengthens Safety at Weiser Schools

  • Local Champion: Weiser School District 431
  • Date Funded: September 25, 2025
  • Grant Amount: $14,596

Weiser students, staff, and parents have voiced growing concerns about campus safety since workers, volunteers, and visitors currently enter school buildings without a consistent screening process. One staff member saw the need for better safety measures, so they reached out to LOR with an idea. LOR’s funding will help Weiser School District 431 purchase four visitor management systems—one for each school building—that can scan identification cards, check visitors against sex offender databases, perform criminal background checks, and print photo badges. The technology will improve safety across Weiser’s schools, providing peace of mind to parents, staff, and students.
