A Van Expands Access to Community Meal Programs in Cortez

Many Cortez families lack reliable transportation to access community meals and activities, but a van at Evangel Assembly of God had played a key role in bridging that gap. When the van was damaged beyond repair during a theft attempt, church leaders worried about the consequences for local youth and families. After coming up with a solution, they reached out to LOR for support. LOR’s funding will help Evangel Assembly of God purchase a passenger van to transport children and families to free community meals, summer day camps, and other activities. The van will also be available to local nonprofits for community events, helping organizations overcome transportation challenges and better serve residents.
