A Survey Aids Farmers and Guides Local Food Production in Questa

  • Local Champion: Localogy
  • Date Funded: March 19, 2025
  • Grant Amount: $10,000

Questa residents have limited access to local and organic food options, while local growers and retailers struggle to understand which produce would consistently sell in the community. When leaders from Localogy and the local grocery store noticed this disconnect between production and consumer demand, they reached out to LOR with an idea. LOR’s funding will help Localogy develop and conduct a comprehensive survey of Questa residents to identify food preferences and purchasing patterns. Results from the survey will guide local farmers on which crops to prioritize and help retailers stock products that meet community demand, ultimately strengthening Questa’s local food system while creating new opportunities for both producers and consumers.
