A Simple Tech Upgrade Lets Youth Share Stories for Friends, Family, and Posterity

  • Local Champion: A Lander local
  • Date Funded: November 19, 2024
  • Grant Amount: $370

Over the past several years, a Lander Valley High School teacher built a program that allows students to tell their own hunting stories. Every year it grows and includes students from all kind of backgrounds. They bring in the skulls, show photos, and are very proud of their accomplishments. These stories are captured on video so they can be shared with wider audiences, but unfortunately the sound quality is very poor. The purchase of a wireless mic would solve that problem and allow Lander’s youth to share their storytelling with family and friends; plus with proper sound, the narratives could become part of an archive accessible by others. LOR’s funding will help with the purchase of the wireless mic.

This project is fiscally sponsored by the Lander Community Foundation
