A Print Shop Program Gives Local High School Students Hands-On Business Experience

  • Local Champion: Sargent School District
  • Date Funded: July 26, 2023
  • Grant Amount: $4,410

Students at Monte Vista’s Sargent School have limited access to formal training in how to successfully operate a business. One local teacher had an idea to create a t-shirt print shop to provide students with experience planning and running a business. They just needed some key equipment to launch. A local business donated the heat press and LOR’s funding will help secure the shirts and other printing supplies needed to launch the shop.
