A New Weight Room Helps Middle Schoolers Achieve Fitness Goals

When Montezuma-Cortez Middle School received several weight room machines from the high school, coaches hoped to start a weight-training program for students and staff at the school. However, with limited resources, the school would need additional equipment before it could launch a full-fledged health and fitness program. With LOR’s help, the school purchased plyometric boxes, ab-support mats, two full sets of kettlebells and dumbbells with racks, six adjustable weight benches, and four bumper plate sets. With all the equipment secured, the school’s coaches will implement age and body size-appropriate strength training programs for middle schoolers.
