A Mower Maintains Libby’s Parks and Sports Fields

  • Local Champion: Lincoln County
  • Date Funded: April 15, 2026
  • Grant Amount: $20,362

J. Niels Memorial Park and Lincoln County’s other outdoor facilities host everything from Libby youth sports and 4-H activities to rodeo events and community gatherings. But keeping these recreation areas up and running is a big undertaking—and one that has gotten a lot harder now that the county’s decade-old mower is no longer functional. Without routine maintenance, youth sports and agricultural programs faced cancellations, so one county employee reached out to LOR with a solution. LOR’s funding will help Lincoln County purchase a new zero-turn mower, ensuring county recreation areas can continue offering free opportunities to Libby families.
