Playground Upgrades Create More Inclusive Recreation in Arroyo Seco

Children and families who gather at the Arroyo Seco Community Center lack a safe, accessible place to play. Outdated swings sit over hard gravel, and the area has no ADA access, limiting who can enjoy it. A local volunteer working to revitalize the center reached out to LOR with a solution: replace the outdated swings with new infant and adult swings and add safety surfacing and an ADA-accessible ramp to create a more inclusive recreation space for the community. LOR’s funding will help the Arroyo Seco Community Center purchase the playground materials and hire a contractor for installation, building on other community investments already underway at the center.
