A Little Equipment Helps a Popular Local Youth Math Club Grow

  • Local Champion: Project Carpe Diem
  • Date Funded: October 16, 2024
  • Grant Amount: $140

Lander’s MathCounts program—launched by a local teen early in 2024—has been so successful that it’s outgrown space. The group has been able to secure a new meeting location, but the new spot doesn’t have a white board—an essential piece of equipment for this competitive math club. So the group reached out to LOR for a little help to support its expansion. LOR’s funding will help with the purchase of a white board so the group can keep multiplying (oh yes, we did).
