A Digital Display Connects Residents with Buffalo High School’s History

  • Local Champion: Buffalo High School Booster Club
  • Date Funded: August 31, 2026
  • Grant Amount: $9,388

Buffalo High School’s awards, trophies, and accomplishments have long outgrown the physical space available to display them, giving students, alumni, parents, and community members few ways to connect with the school’s academic and athletic history. After hearing about LOR, one member of the Buffalo High School Booster Club reached out with an idea: create an interactive digital platform to preserve and share Buffalo High School’s history. LOR’s funding will help the Buffalo High School Booster Club purchase two 65″ digital touchscreen displays and a software subscription, and cover the digitization of 40 years of Buffalo High School yearbooks. The Buffalo High School Booster Club and Johnson County School District No. 1 will contribute electrical upgrades and backdrop construction, completing the installation. Located in the school’s commons, the display will give students, families, and community members a lasting way to connect with Buffalo High School’s history, strengthening school pride and community connection.
