A Community Theater Program Gives Landerites a Stage—And a Bridge to Local Colleges

  • Local Champion: Wyoming Catholic College
  • Date Funded: January 22, 2024
  • Grant Amount: $3,915

While Lander has a healthy menu of performing arts offerings for audience members, the options for those hoping to pursue starring (or supporting) roles via community theater aren’t nearly as robust. In fact, Lander’s limited options for performing in or working on local productions is the very reason one resident Lander saw the opportunity to launch a community theater program. Already well-connected to the local college theater programs at Wyoming Catholic College, the Landerite just needed a little help purchasing supplies and equipment to get a community theater program off the ground. LOR’s funding will support the purchase of props, costumes, and marketing materials—proving all of (Lander’s) world really is a stage and helping bridge the gap between the community and colleges.
