Cortez Girl Scouts Secure a Trailer for Educational Gear that Doesn’t Fit in Pack

  • Local Champion: Girl Scouts of Colorado Troop 2619
  • Date Funded: November 21, 2022
  • Grant Amount: $3,000

Between 50 and 100 Cortez girls participate in Girl Scouts, but storing and transporting the supplies needed for their many outdoor and STEM activities can put a strain on the local volunteers who lead troops. So one troop leader approached LOR with the idea to purchase a storage trailer that would make it easier to ensure the Girl Scouts always have access to the gear they need. LOR’s funding supported the purchase of a five-by-eight-foot trailer wrapped with a specially designed graphic.
