Workshops Bring New Skills to Cortez’s Literary Community

  • Local Champion: Four Corners Writers
  • Date Funded: April 8, 2026
  • Grant Amount: $1,800

Each month Four Corners Writers hosts Cortez’s budding and seasoned literary talent to connect, learn, and support each other’s work. One of the nonprofit’s leaders saw an opportunity to expand on this work and strengthen local programming, so he reached out to LOR with an idea. LOR’s funding will help Four Corners Writers bring in six guest speakers to lead workshops on the craft of writing. The speakers will share new skills and perspectives, providing new creative opportunities for the area’s growing literary community.
