A Small-Business Training Reduces Turnover and Strengthens Libby’s Workforce

  • Local Champion: Libby Area Community Advancement
  • Date Funded: September 17, 2026
  • Grant Amount: $3,500

Libby business owners want to improve hiring practices, strengthen business strategy, and retain staff, but trainings are often out of reach because of the travel time and cost. One Libby Area Community Advancement board member reached out to LOR with a solution: bring a small-business training course to Libby. LOR’s funding will help Libby Area Community Advancement provide a local business training course and cover the cost for those who face financial barriers. The training will give Libby employers practical strategies for hiring, retention, and business operations, reducing costly turnover and strengthening the local workforce.
