Volleyball Clinics Break Down Barriers for Monte Vista Youth

  • Local Champion: City of Monte Vista
  • Date Funded: March 17, 2025
  • Grant Amount: $16,224

An increasing number of Monte Vista youth are interested in volleyball, but financial constraints keep many from exploring the sport. Staff with the city of Monte Vista consistently heard from local parents about this gap, so they reached out to LOR with a solution. LOR’s funding will help the city and Monte Vista High School’s volleyball team collaborate to purchase new volleyball equipment, including balls, carts, and a new net system. LOR’s funding will also provide stipends to put on free volleyball clinics for Monte Vista youth. The partnership will create no-cost volleyball opportunities for younger students, while also helping high school and college students acquire coaching experience.
