Transportation Vouchers Help Put Cortez Survivors on the Path to Healing

For Cortez survivors of assault, transportation can stand between them and the support services they need most, including forensic nurse examinations, therapy, and safe relocation. Without reliable options to access timely care, staff with Cortez’s Sexual Assault Support Organization (SASO) reached out to LOR with a solution: travel vouchers. LOR’s funding will help SASO purchase taxi vouchers, bus tickets, and gas cards to provide transportation to support groups, therapy sessions, hospital visits, and safe spaces. The investment will ensure that Cortez survivors can reach the services they need when they need them most, removing a barrier that too often delays healing.
