Weiser OHV Safety Training Reduces Trail Accidents

Weiser lacks equipment for local off-roading safety programs, increasing the risk for those who use regional OHV trails without the skills to navigate challenging terrain. One Washington County staff member recognized this growing problem, so he reached out to LOR with a solution: launch a local OHV safety program. LOR’s funding will help Washington County Search and Rescue purchase a Polaris ATV and Kawasaki dirt bike, giving deputies, search and rescue volunteers, and community members the tools to become certified instructors and host ongoing OHV safety courses for youth and residents.
