Sports Equipment Supports Community Programs at Monte Vista’s Calvary Church

  • Local Champion: Calvary Monte Vista
  • Date Funded: July 21, 2025
  • Grant Amount: $7,698

A growing number of Monte Vista children and families rely on free community meals and youth sports programs offered by Calvary Baptist Church. The problem is the church lacks the equipment needed to accommodate all of those interested. After coming up with a solution, the church’s pastor reached out to LOR with his idea. LOR’s funding will help Calvary Baptist Church purchase tables, chairs, soccer equipment, and other supplies to better serve those who attend community meals and the youth who participate in summer sports camps. The new equipment will ensure that Monte Vista families can continue accessing these vital programs throughout the year.
