Smart Boards Boost Engagement at Monte Vista Middle School

  • Local Champion: Monte Vista School District NO. C-8
  • Date Funded: October 31, 2025
  • Grant Amount: $30,000

Monte Vista Middle School is one of the district’s oldest buildings, and its students and staff have limited access to modern technology. This lack of resources restricts opportunities for interactive instruction and digital skill-building. After hearing teachers express the need for updated classroom tools, the school’s new principal reached out to LOR for help purchasing smart boards to enhance student engagement.

With LOR’s support, the school will acquire six interactive smart board panels with mobile stands to be shared among classrooms. This flexible setup will allow all teachers and the 200+ students they serve to benefit from the technology without the expense of equipping every room. The new smart boards will make lessons more dynamic and connected, helping students stay engaged while developing the technological skills they’ll need for high school and future careers.
