Signs and Lights Make Weiser’s Crosswalks Safer

  • Local Champion: City of Weiser
  • Date Funded: November 29, 2024
  • Grant Amount: $29,920

Many of Weiser’s crosswalks are poorly marked and lit, a significant problem since many Weiser locals find themselves walking to school or work in darkness during certain seasons. One staff member with the City of Weiser wanted to make the town’s crosswalks safer, so she reached out to LOR with an idea. LOR’s funding will help the City of Weiser purchase and install warning signs and flashing lights at 10 high-traffic crosswalks throughout the community, helping to safeguard pedestrians and drivers.
