Portable Kennels Expand Cortez’s Foster Capacity

In Cortez, residents willing to foster dogs often lack the secure, all-weather outdoor setup needed to safely separate and gradually introduce a foster animal to resident pets—leaving placement options limited and animals in need without homes. After a volunteer for For Pets’ Sake came up with a solution, they reached out to LOR for support. LOR’s funding will help For Pets’ Sake purchase four portable kennels, four heated dog houses, four raised dog beds, and other supplies. The equipment will be maintained and distributed by For Pets’ Sake as needed, creating four new foster homes where dogs can decompress and gradually acclimate before transitioning into their forever homes.
