New Water Stations Keep Libby Students Hydrated—and Healthy

  • Local Champion: Libby K-12 Schools
  • Date Funded: December 17, 2024
  • Grant Amount: $29,490

Students at Libby Middle High School have limited access to filtered drinking water, a factor that could cause potential health problems and lead to overcrowding—and the occasional argument—at the few water fountains that do exist. A school staffer approached the LOR Foundation with a remedy: installing seven filtered water fountains and bottle-fill stations to ensure students, staff, and community members have access to clean water while in the building. The new water stations are expected to enhance both physical and mental wellbeing.
