New Monitoring Equipment Keeps Mothers and Babies Safe in Weiser

  • Local Champion: Weiser Memorial Hospital Foundation
  • Date Funded: May 16, 2025
  • Grant Amount: $25,880

Weiser Memorial Hospital has seen births nearly double in the past year due to surrounding hospitals closing their labor and delivery departments. The problem is the hospital lacks sufficient monitoring equipment to safely track the growing number of mothers and babies. One staff member with the Weiser Memorial Hospital Foundation, which supports the hospital with resources, recognized the need to address a dangerous gap, so she reached out to LOR with an idea. LOR’s funding will help the Weiser Memorial Hospital Foundation purchase updated fetal heart monitoring stations, software, and other equipment to ensure continuous patient care, ensuring positive outcomes for both mothers and newborns.
