New Beds Create More Capacity to House Lander’s Long-Term Care Residents

  • Local Champion: Westward Heights Care Center
  • Date Funded: May 23, 2024
  • Grant Amount: $10,000

Westward Heights Care Center, a nonprofit long-term care setting for Lander residents has the ability to house up to 66 residents. But the age of some of WHCC’s beds are preventing it from operating at full capacity, and thus further limiting options for older Lander residents in need of long-term care. Staff at WHCC knew there was a simple solution—add a few more beds to help the center get a jump start on replacing the old ones—and reached out to LOR for help. LOR’s funding will help support the purchase of five additional beds, allowing the center to serve Lander at full capacity.
