A Community Room Brings Monte Vista Neighbors Together

Families living at High Valley Manor Apartments in Monte Vista lack a space to gather and connect because their community room was damaged by a roof leak. Staff with San Luis Valley Housing Coalition, which operates the complex, realized this was disconnecting neighbors and eliminating cherished meals and activities, so they reached out to LOR for support. LOR’s funding will help San Luis Valley Housing Coalition renovate the community room with new ceiling materials, flooring, kitchen appliances, furniture, and outdoor equipment, renewing this important community space where residents of all ages can come together.
