Narcan and CPR Training Provide Life-Saving Skills in Taos

In recent years, New Mexico has seen a steep increase in the number of deaths caused by heart disease and opioid overdoses (specifically Fentynal overdoses). Identifying a critical need to respond to this public health crisis with targeted education and intervention strategies, a town council member reached out with an idea: provide free, hands-on Narcan and CPR training to Taos community members.

LOR’s support funded an awareness campaign to promote the trainings, with the goal of preparing as many community members as possible to recognize and respond to emergency situations and save lives.

This project is fiscally sponsored by Downtown Taos.
