Monte Vista’s Cheer Team Gets a Major Equipment Upgrade

The Monte Vista High School cheer team lacks essential equipment—including mats and pom poms—required for cheer practice and state competitions, which has been limiting as it’s a year-round sport and they don’t always have opportunities to travel. With this problem in mind, the team’s coaches reached out to the LOR Foundation with an idea for upping their game. With LOR’s help, the team was able to purchase spirit flags and signs, gymnastic mats, new poms, and a speaker. Funding from LOR also helped the team put on a cheer camp to support disadvantaged youth and bring more spirit to the community.
