Monte Vista Football Equipment Enhances Player Safety

  • Local Champion: Sargent School District RE-33J
  • Date Funded: May 8, 2025
  • Grant Amount: $9,535

Sargent Middle School’s football program doesn’t have enough safe and updated equipment for each player. With some students using worn, outdated pads and helmets, one school district staff member was particularly worried about player protection and injury risk. So, she reached out to LOR with an idea. LOR’s funding will help Sargent School District purchase 20 complete sets of football uniforms and protective equipment that meet modern safety standards. The new gear will allow every interested student to participate while boosting team confidence in a district where interest in football continues to grow.
